My name is Len Suckle. I live in Phoenix, Arizona.
I am a retired electronics design engineer, with experience in semiconductor process development, semiconductor integrated circuit design, color TV design, medical electronics. I also have extensive experience in website design and support.
I had no medical experience or interest (beyond technology), to the point that I avoided biology in high school since I didn't want to dissect a frog 😀
All of that changed July 25th, 2025, when my wife collapsed at Sky Harbor Airport, with a Subarachnoid Hemorrhaged Aneurysm (an artery burst in her brain). Since then I have become a full-time caregiver for my wife, Norma, dedicating all of my time to being her advocate and support team.
New experience gained is adjustment of a Ventriculoperitoneal Shunt (in the brain to release pressure), feeding by G-Tube, communicating (and negotiating) with hospital and nursing facility personnel and doctors of various disciplines, and medical insurance companies.
I have also learned to do all of the many activities that Norma performed as a homemaker.
I'm hoping that reporting these experiences will be useful to those who may be faced with similar situation.
